Why Living in Dubai Rocks!

Life is good here.

Regardless of age or nationality, every year thousands of people flock to Dubai because those who live here almost unanimously agree that the quality of life is EXTRAORDINARILY high.  The “Dubai Dream” has inspired expatriates to come here for decades, many choosing to stay for extended periods of time. If you’ve never been here before, you may ask “What is so special about living in Dubai?”  Well, Dubai is first and foremost a land of possibilities.  It is an archetype of globalization and international culture. Those that don’t know the city well have to understand that Dubai is a city of extremes. While some daring entrepreneurs may not succeed in their expeditions, within this bustling metropolis you can go as high or low as your ambition allows you, and most people have found success in their endeavours.

We at O2 are proud to call Dubai our home.  As we set our sights on a new decade of regional expansion, we remember all the reasons why we chose Dubai as our world headquarters, and why expatriates continue to enjoy this exciting city of extremes.  Yes, life here is good.

Entertainment
The single most amazing aspect of this city is the sheer amount of activities available to local residents!  Events for all ages are held throughout the year brining in the most talented names in the world of art and music.  Walk along the city’s stunning garden promenades to get a glimpse of the many public sporting facilities and community parks.  Immaculate shopping malls, five-star hotels, and some of the world’s most renowned restaurants all add a flavour of class to the city’s skyline. It’s easy to feel like a celebrity as the party carries on throughout the night at trendy waterfront lounges and a host of stylish nightclubs.

Security
Families will always tell you that the one of the greatest motivations for them to stay in Dubai is the near absence of crime.  Strong laws against theft and assault—plus the threat of deportation—have allowed residents to enjoy a lifestyle that most couldn’t imagine back at home.

Culture
The fast development of Dubai has always been built on a solid foundation of UAE national culture and heritage.  During these years of growth, locals and expatriates have worked together to create a beautiful harmony of civilizations, one in which individuals are free to express their own values and traditions.  From art to music, dancing and religious festivals, Dubai is without a doubt the forefront of a developing international identity.

Weather
All ages and all interests are entertained within this beautiful coastal setting.  Sandy beaches, warm waters, and endless desert can be explored year-round and just minutes away from the city centre.  The temperate climate has attracted tourists for years, many of which decide to leave their homes behind and look for opportunity in this land of blissful sunshine.

Education
The development of the education sector has been always been a top priority for the UAE government.  Since the country’s founding, preeminent international institutions have been built throughout the country, with Dubai taking centre stage.  Excellent teachers and ample resources are the trademark of both public and private schools.  All varieties of curricula can be found for primary schools, and exceptional institutions of higher education continue to be built in response to growing demand.

Business
Searching for a new global headquarters?  Want to open up your own company in a tax-free environment?  Whatever your pursuit, Dubai is the region’s foremost destination for business development.  Unlike other areas of the Middle East, Dubai’s economy is extremely diverse.  Being a manufacturing and service economy, Dubai is also a major tourist hub and centre for international exhibitions.  Trade organizations and professional bodies make getting into the local scene a bit easier for the new guy, which is why so many choose Dubai as their home in the Middle East.
