O2 TO ENGAGE IN FINE ARTS!
O2 again takes pride in supporting the goals of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
O2 as always, would like to support the goals of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. O2 team visited the “First Appearances” art exhibition at the Ghaf Art Gallery to explore the various art pieces by Chritch, Emily Gordon, Neena Rai, Courtney Radl Perrocco and many more.
The Ghaf Art Gallery, established in 2006, is Abu Dhabi's first dedicated art gallery. The gallery aims to cultivate the growth and development of the capital's art scene by offering exhibiting opportunities to new, local talent eager to reach an attentive audience.
The name “Ghaf” comes from a cultural origin of the desert of the UAE. Ghaf is a unique tree that fights its survival ways in the most difficult climates while sustaining and nurturing life in its shade. This in turn inspired the founders: Jalal Luqman and Mohamed Abdul Latif Kanoo, to use the name “Ghaf” for the gallery and take the journey further from there.
The city of Abu Dhabi is now giving great attention to preserving its cultural heritage and concentrates on encouraging artistic activities though the development of Museums, archaeological research, historical urban planning and the development of cultural tourism.
O2 will soon take this involvement a step further and engage its public relation and marketing services with the Fine art area.
