In line with MBRHE aim to regulate the relationship between the Mohammed bin Rashid Housing Establishment (MBRHE), contractors and owners, MBRHE has released new instructions and clarifications that facilitate and simplify the method of executing new building contracts preserving the rights of all those concerned.
Engineer Mohammed Rashid Al Mutawwa, Chief Executive and Managing Director of MBRHE pointed out that the instructions and clarifications that were released complement MBRHE's need to regulate the relationships between MBRHE, contractors, engineering consultants and owners preserving the rights of all those concerned.
Engineer Al Mutawwa said: "The most significant outcome of this contract is that it gives full authority to the citizens and beneficiaries in the execution process of their loan and therefore contractors will no longer need to obtain bank guarantees, which previously was 10%. Citizens now have the right to choose whether to coordinate with consultants directly or not."
Al Mutawwa added that the MBRHE will not be involved in contracts as their role is solely financial. The commitment between the beneficiary and MBRHE will only be regarding the finance of the beneficiary's house. This enables citizens to choose the design and building materials of their houses.
Engineer Al Mutawwa clarified that the new conditions will be applied to all new contracts and will affect all engineering consultancy companies and contractors dealing with MBRHE.
