
Ministry of Health accredits four courses at
Hamdan Bin Mohammed e-University

Four courses at Hamdan Bin Mohammed e-University have recently been accredited by the Continuous Medical Education department at the Ministry of Health in the UAE.
The courses are “Leadership & Governance of Healthcare Organizations”, “Healthcare Quality : Role of Professional Regulations”, “Strategic Environmental Assessment” and “Sustainable Environmental Policies: A Global Approach”.
Dr.Mansoor Al Awar, the Vice Chancellor of Hamdan Bin Mohammed e-university said:

The courses “Leadership & Governance of Healthcare Organizations” and “Healthcare Quality : Role of Professional Regulations” are open to healthcare professionals in the public sectors, ministry of health, municipalities, international health organization, private health institutions, and faculty researchers.
The “Healthcare Quality : Role of Professional Regulations” Course provides learners with an overview of the professional regulations, concepts and principles of quality improvement in the healthcare workplace.
While the “Leadership & Governance of Healthcare Organizations” tackles issues such as organizational behaviour and conflict resolution. The course will also introduce the learners to theories and methods of leadership and governance.
The “Strategic Environmental Assessment” course and the “Sustainable Environmental Policies: A Global Approach” are open to personnel at Ministry of Environment and Water, International Environmental Organizations, Municipalities, Public and Private Institutions dealing with Environment NGOs interested in environmental issues Health professionals in the public and private Sectors and Faculty Researchers.
“Strategic Environmental Assessment” course provides learners with knowledge on the global context of the Strategic Environmental Assessment (SAE), procedure, legislation and guidance framework, and environmental impact assessment of projects. Concepts, principles and methodologies of SAE are developed to ensure that environmental considerations are integrated into strategic decision-making to achieve a sound environment and sustainable development.
The course “Sustainable Environmental Policies: A Global Approach” provides an overview of the importance of developing sustainable environmental policies.
The course also analyses the policy-making process that produces environmental policies, and emphasises the role of governmental institutions and international organizations in creating and implementing environmental policies, in addition to examining various environmental policies.
