Hamdan Bin Mohammed e-University organizes an Orientation Day for new Masters Learners

Hamdan Bin Mohammed e-University organized an orientation day for the new Master's learners of spring 2009. The day was held at the Hamdan Bin Mohammed e-University offices in Dubai on Tuesday February 10th.

During the day the deans of various colleges offered administrative and academic guidance related to the masters programs offered by the e-University. 

The learners got the chance to familiarize themselves with the first e-university in the UAE, its policies, curricula and study plans. The day also included special orientationto give the learners detailed information on the masters programs offered by the e-University. 

 Dr. Mansoor AlAwar, Vice Chansellor of Hamdan Bin Mohammed e-University welcomed the learners, and stressed the importance of post graduate studies in the UAE:

“Post graduate studies are of great significance especially here in the UAE, where the competition is bigger than ever. Post graduate studies are our way forward to progress and develop in the UAE. Therefore I urge you to make the best use of your time at our e- university.”

The new master's learners at Hamdan Bin Mohammed e-University are divided on three pilot master programs, Master of Science in organizational Excellence, Masters of Science in Public Health: Excellence in Health Care Management and Master of Science in Innovation & Change Management.

In collaboration with the Information Technology department, the learners Service Unit will follow this day with a two-day training for learners on the "Virtual Learning Environment" and the concept of "Virtual Classroom" and the "e-Library", in addition to the use of e-mail, online course registering and other electronic methods of communication at Hamdan Bin Mohammed e-University.
