BIW assigns the Telecommunication, Information Technology Services to Kuwait Establishment Co. W.L.L

Bahrain Investment Wharf (BIW), under development by Bahrain based Tameer (Tameer), has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the assignment of the Telecommunication, Information Technology Services (ICT) to Kuwait Establishment Co. W.L.L Bahrain Branch.  The MOU was signed by BIW Chairman Mr. Ahmed Al Qattan and the CEO and Managing Director Mr. Zaid Al-Zaid of Kuwait Establishment Co. W.L.L, in the presence of Mr. Laith Al-Memar, the Vice Chairman and Managing Director of BIW, Mr. Muhannad Al-Durrah, the CEO of BIW, Mr. Yazan Haddad, BIW’s Project Director, Mr. Aiman Al Mahanna, of Kuwait Establishment Co. W.L.L General Manager, Mr. Reed K.  Hennebury, Director General of Q8 Intech LLC USA, Mr. M. Shahzad Butt, Deputy Program Manager of Kuwait Establishment Co. W.L.L and Mr. Bryan Jolly, Engineering Manager from Lockheed Martin SCNL-USA.

Kuwait Establishment Co. W.L.L will be the prime ICT-Telecom Service Provider for BIW.  Kuwait Establishment Co. W.L.L with its extensive experience in this field, leveraging the expertise of Lockheed Martin SCNL-USA, and under the project management of Q8 Intech LLC–USA shall provide state-of-the-art telecommunication services designed to meet the unique needs of BIW.

Commenting on this new development, Mr. Ahmed Al Qattan, BIW Chairman said “Bahrain Investment Wharf is a pioneering project aiming to attract local and international investors to invest in small and medium industries by virtue of services, facilities and reasonable prices it offers. Moreover, BIW is one of the major industrial development projects in Bahrain and the region—the first investment venture of its kind, which is the result of  mutual cooperation between Bahrain’s Ministry of Industry and Commerce, on behalf of the public sector, and the private sector represented by Tameer. Such a project will require ICT infrastructure and services of an international standard, and thus Kuwait Establishment Co. W.L.L was selected due to their long global experience, we are delighted to work together”.

Mr. Zaid Al-Zaid of Kuwait Establishment Co. The Bahrain Investment Wharf is planned to house an industrial park for medium and light industries, a logistics park for storage and logistics purposes, in addition to residential, commercial and business communities.
