In conjunction with UAE Red Crescent, aswaaq Launches Campaign for Supporting Gaza Strip People

In conjunction with UAE Red Crescent, aswaaq launched campaign for supporting Gaza Strip people and collecting donations in kind under the slogan "Gaza is calling" 

Launched by aswaaq in its community centre in Nad Al Hamar, the campaign is part of the human campaign "relief aid campaign" which was launched by the directives of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, president, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, ruler of Dubai, for supporting our Palestinian brothers in their ordeal, and in consistence with aswaaq interest in community service.  

aswaaq called UAE nationals and expatriates, especially Nad Al Hamar and adjacent areas people to actively participate in this campaign and support Gaza afflicted families through giving anti-damage donations in kind which are available in aswaaq community center provided that shelf life period should not be less than one full year.

“We will deliver donations to our needy Palestinian brethren  in Gaza Stripe, in collaboration with the UAE Red Crescent (UAERC), to help them to confront the difficult human conditions they experience after the Israeli brutal aggression on Gaza”, said Hind Al-Falasi, aswaaq  Relations Manager.

“The initiative is part of the active played by aswaaq toward community by participating in campaigns that benefit community and promote its values”, she added. It helps to alleviating the human crisis and the deteriorating conditions in Gaza by improving the life of those suffering in solidarity with them until the plight comes to an end, the Relation Manager said.        

According to Mr. Mohammed Al-Zarouni, Director General of the Red Crescent in Dubai, the UAERC has been delivering donations to needy Palestinians though an air bridge to the Egyptian city of Al-Aresh, as well as a caravan to Jordan, to transfer thousands of tones of food, drugs and medical materials to Gaza.      

Al-Zarouni praised the significant participation of establishments and companies working in UAE with Gaza campaign, naming aswaaq as a model of that active interaction. Since the first day of the Israeli aggression on Gaza, the UAERC has exerted all efforts to assist our Palestinian brethren in collaboration with international organizations like UNICEF, UNRWA and WHO.  360 tones of food were sent to Gaza through Al Aresh when Rafah Crossing was open.
