Residents of Nad Al Hamar and the neighbouring areas expressed their sincere gratitude to the UAE's prudent leadership, and especially H. H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, for their care and interest to augment their people's prosperisty and convenience. They hailed the opening of aswaaq's community centre in Nad Al Hamar and called for similar centres in all populated areas in Dubai.

Since its opening last month, Aswaaq's community center in Nad Al Hamar has witnessed a remarkable turnout from residents of the local and surrounding areas who have rushed to the new outlet to obtain their needs at competitive prices.

Mrs Aisha Ahli, a resident of Nad Al Hamar, said: "The opening of this shopping centre in a nearby location saves our time and provides all our needs. This is something we have been dreaming of for a long time."

Mrs Hajar Mohammed agreed with her friend Aisha and added:  "Now we can obtain our needs at a very close place. We do not have to suffer the hassle of movement to access other shopping centres and cooperative societies in other areas."

Both ladies expressed their thanks and gratitude to the UAE's prudent leadership and the efforts to meet people's requirements and needs.

According to them, the most impressive aspect in Nad Al Hamar centre is the national staff, males and females, who are full of enthusiasm to serve their country. "Some of them are even living in the same area. They are our neighbours and friends. This really gives us peace of mind," they opined.

On his part, Mr. Mohsen Hasan Salem Al Shamsi, another resident of Nad Al Hamar, commented: "Aswaaq has protected the local population from the greed and manipulation of the small supermarkets operating in the area. These supermarkets sell expired and bad food stuff as they usually switch off the fridges and freezers for long periods in order to save power. Fruit and vegetables are also not fresh. But now, thanks to God, we are no more worried about buying spoiled and expired food stuff. We are confident that aswaaq is keen to maintain health and safety in society. We have the chance to buy healthy, fresh and high quality products."

Mr Al Shamesi referred to money exchange, ATMs, laundary, mobile phones, fast food and other services available at aswaaq's centre. "All our needs are now obtainable at a very close place. This saves us the hassle of movement and, consequently, decrease car use and helps in alleviating the traffic jam," he added.

However, the lack of shopping centres and cooperative societies in the nearby has pushed Mrs. Hala Rajab Al Haj, a resident of Al Warqa', to shop at Nad Al Hamar centre.
Mrs Hala called for the opening of similar centres in Al Warqa' area to cater for the residents' needs there. She expressed her satisfaction towards the quality, display and prices of products at Nad Al Hamar centre, and suggested that it included Arabic restaurants and jewellery shops.

Mr. Hasan Al Murr is another visitor of Nad Al Hamar centre who came from Al Rashideyya. He said that he was first attracted with the advertisement of Wafa card and rushed to subscribe for it.

As for Mr. Talal Ali, aswaaq supplies all his needs, however, what he likes the best is buying fresh bread at it in the early morning.

Nad Al Hamar centre is the first and smallest centre in aswaaq's shopping facilities. In line with its objectives to serve Dubai community, Aswaaq's strategy includes the opening of 20 community centres and 40 supermarkets in the main populated areas in Dubai in a bid to meet local residents' needs.
