AMAN obtains approvals to operate in Syria

AMAN, Dubai Islamic Insurance & Reinsurance Company, have obtained approval of the Syrian Insurance Supervision Authority to operate in Syria under the name  AMAN Syria for Takaful Insurance.

H. E. Hussain Al Meeza, CEO and Managing Director of AMAN, said that Syrian Insurance Supervision Authority has awarded the final licence to  Dubai Islamic Insurance & Reinsurance Company to start operations in the Syrian Arab Republic. This step comes as a part of AMAN's strategy to expand in the region and to reach to other markets in the future.

Al Meeza said: "In the last years, AMAN have achieved major milestones in its operations including record growth of Takaful installments, launching new Takaful products that suits its costumers requirements, and providing saving and credit insurance schemes via banks. Amid the existing and expected competition in insurance markets, the company also endeavours to bolster its position on the local and regional arenas."
