The Centre for Documentation & research hosted a conference on “New Perspectives On Recording UAE History” from November 23rd to Nov 25th at its premises in Abu Dhabi. Renowned scholars from all over the world and the UAE participated in the conference. 

The five-panel Conference covered a  wide spectrum of subjects from the prehistoric roots of the Emirates through the Stone Age, the pre-Islamic and Islamic eras, the arrival of Europeans (Portuguese, Dutch and British eras), down to  the pre-oil period and the establishment of the Federation of the UAE.  

Hosted under the patronage of HH Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Presidential Affairs, President of the Center for Documentation and Research (CDR), the CDR also inaugurated its 40th anniversary celebrations conveyed by the conference.
